Bhubaneswar, May 24: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, speaking at ICAI's 'Saksham-2025' conference in Sambalpur, lauded Chartered Accountants for their vital role in India's economic growth.
He said CAs have helped make India the fifth-largest economy and will be key in achieving future global leadership in quality and competitiveness.
Pradhan praised PM Narendra Modi for honoring wealth creators and emphasized the need to support entrepreneurship in Odisha’s western belt. He announced a goal to create 100 startups worth ₹100 crore each under the "100 Cube" initiative, citing recent Odisha startups featured in Forbes.
Highlighting the startup boom across India, Pradhan urged the CA community to support local businesses, including street vendors and FPOs, and aid in formalizing their economy.
He also envisioned Sambalpur as a green startup hub and called for sustainable development alongside economic growth.
