Bhubaneswar, Aug 27: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday chaired a high-level meeting at Lok Seva Bhavan to review the development plans for the revered Maa Tarini Temple at Ghatgaon in Keonjhar district.
The meeting centred on strengthening the temple’s infrastructure and facilities, with special emphasis on ensuring convenience for devotees and the local community. The project seeks to transform the shrine into a prominent spiritual destination while preserving its rich cultural and historical heritage.
According to officials, the planned initiatives are expected to boost regional tourism, generate employment, and contribute to local economic development.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Works and Law Prithviraj Harichandan, Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Principal Secretary to the Law Department, Commissioner and Secretary to the Tourism Department, Endowment Commissioner, alongside intellectuals and local residents of Ghatgaon.
Significantly, the opinions of local intellectuals were given due importance, ensuring that the proposed development aligns with the needs devotees and residents, striking a balance between tradition and modern amenities.
