New Delhi, April 20: Chief Justice of India Surya Kant expressed his astonishment on Monday over the increasing number of well-educated individuals being deceived in digital arrest cases.
While presiding over a bench that also included Justice Joymalya Bagchi, CJI Surya Kant highlighted a recent troubling case involving an elderly woman who lost her entire retirement savings due to such a scam.
The remarks were made following a suo motu case raised by Attorney General R. Venkataramani, addressing the growing number of victims in digital arrest incidents.
