Bhubaneswar, September 17: Odisha Chief Secretary Anu Garg today reviewed the progress of key government schemes and projects at Lok Seva Bhawan, with District Collectors joining the meeting through video conference.
The meeting reviewed urban drinking water projects, the Baraputra Heritage Village Scheme, the Godabarish Mishra Model Primary School Scheme, healthcare initiatives, labour and child welfare programmes, handlooms and handicrafts, agriculture and MSME projects.
The Housing & Urban Development Department discussed land-related issues affecting major water supply and other projects in Khordha, Sambalpur and Cuttack districts. Waste management compliance and market-based financing opportunities for small urban local bodies were also reviewed.
The Women & Child Development Department reviewed Poshan Maah-2026 and the Suposhita Odisha Mission, while the Health Department assessed biomedical waste management, health infrastructure and the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme.
Progress under the Baraputra Heritage Village Scheme, including land allotment and preparation of DPRs, was reviewed. The School & Mass Education Department discussed model primary schools, hostels and APAAR IDs for students.
The MSME Department reviewed MSME Parks, startup initiatives and credit facilities, including the plan to establish 30 MSME Parks in 30 districts.
The Chief Secretary directed District Collectors to coordinate with concerned departments and resolve land, approval, construction and implementation-related issues within stipulated timelines. She stressed regular monitoring and inter-departmental coordination to ensure that the benefits of approved schemes and projects reach people at the earliest.
