Bridgetown (Barbados), June 29: Can Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and his predecessor Virat Kohli be able to lift the Winners' Trophy in their final World Cup match on Saturday?
Will it also be the final World Cup match for ace Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja? Because he too is of Kohli's age and has been around for years.
Team India would also be keen to win the World Cup title for their outgoing Head Coach Rahul Dravid, whose tenure at the post ends after the T20 World Cup 2024 Final.
Can the Indian team give a World Cup title send off to their hard-working, sincere and low profile head coach Dravid?
Or, will it be South African veteran Quinton de Kock, who will have the last laugh?
Former Proteas skipper Quinton had also intimated that it would possibly be his final World Cup appearance.
Or, will rain play spoilsport on both days (including the reserve day June 30, Sunday) and the final match will not be played at all?
If there is no play at all and the ICC T20 World Cup T20 Final match gets abandoned, then both sides are expected to be declared joint winners.
In that case, all these stalwarts from India and South Africa can lift the coveted trophy, sign off in style and cherish a smile, which will be historic. Fans and supporters will be happy as well.
Well, until the T20 World Cup 2024 Final is finally over and the trophies are distributed, all these questions may continue to bother millions of cricket fans across the globe.
India have won the inaugural edition of the ICC T20 World Cup in 2007 and would be eager to end their WC trophy drought. India last won a World Cup (ODI) in 2011 at home. But despite consistent performance they have never lifted the ICC World Cup even once in the last 13 years.
On the contrary, South Africa have never won a World Cup trophy and it is their maiden World Cup Final in any format.
