Bhubaneswar, Aug 15: A complaint has been filed against Biju Janata Dal (BJD) Rajya Sabha MP Sulata Deo over an alleged objectionable social media post targeting Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Nitin Nabin.
The BJP lodged the complaint with the Capital Police in Bhubaneswar, seeking appropriate legal action against the BJD MP.
According to the complaint, Deo allegedly shared an AI-generated image of Nitin Nabin on social media, claiming that the BJP president had held the National Flag upside down during the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
The BJP alleged that the image was deliberately manipulated using artificial intelligence to damage Nabin’s reputation.
“She deliberately posted the AI-generated image to tarnish the BJP chief’s image,” the BJP said in its complaint.
The ruling party in Odisha further alleged that the MP misused artificial intelligence and violated provisions of the Flag Code by sharing the purportedly morphed image on social media.
The BJP has urged the police to register a case against Deo and initiate appropriate legal action in the matter.
