Puri, Ap 7:Darshan of the sibling deities at Puri Srimandir was temporarily halted on Sunday after blood stains were found near the temple’s Bhitara Katha. The discovery led to the immediate arrangement of the Bada Maha Snana of the Lords, resulting in the suspension of darshan. Following this, temple authorities immediately took measures to perform the sacred ritual.
According to sources, after the Mangala Aarti, devotees were observing Lord Jagannath inside the main temple when they noticed traces of blood near Bhitara Katha. Temple administration and servitors promptly decided to conduct the Bada Mahasnan to sanctify the area.
As a result, the temple temporarily restricted general darshan for devotees. The administration clarified that after the completion of the Bada Mahasnana, regular darshan will resume.
Temple officials emphasized that the safety and sanctity of the shrine are their top priorities and assured devotees that normal access to the Lord’s darshan would be restored soon.
