Mumbai, Jul 21: Acclaimed singer Arijit Singh is making his much-awaited return to playback singing with “Yeh Awarapan,” the first track from the upcoming film Awarapan 2.

According to a report by Pinkvilla, the soulful song is set to release on July 21 across all major streaming platforms.

The track brings together a celebrated creative team, with Vishesh Bhatt overseeing the film’s music, Amaal Malik composing the song, and Rashmi Virag penning the lyrics.

As per the report, Vishesh Bhatt wanted the song to capture the emotional depth of Emraan Hashmi’s iconic character Shivam Pandit, and believed Arijit Singh’s voice was the perfect choice to convey the character’s inner journey.

A source quoted by Pinkvilla said, “Vishesh Bhatt, the creative force behind the Awarapan franchise, has curated and built the music of Awarapan 2 as a statement in itself.
