Sprinters shattered records ahead of crucial international track competitions.
Competitors delivered exceptional performances during the inaugural Indian Athletics Final Series in New Delhi. Runners and field athletes supported by Reliance Foundation secured 10 top finishes, nine second place spots, and five third place results. Track and field events in India are currently experiencing immense growth as national champions finalize their preparations for major continental tournaments.
Record breaking sprints
Sprinter Animesh Kujur proved his readiness for upcoming international competitions by winning both sprint titles. He finished his 100m race in 10.21s and followed up with a 20.59s finish in the 200m event. Harita Bhadra produced a historic run in her women's 100m final. She crossed the line in 11.22s to record the second fastest time ever completed by an Indian woman. Harita regularly trains at Jio Institute in Navi Mumbai and continues to dominate domestic podiums.

Sprint dominance
Sprinters secured top positions across multiple short-distance categories. Gurindervir Singh followed closely behind Animesh in the men's 100m with a time of 10.32s. Abinaya Rajarajan took second place in the women's 100m with a personal best of 11.31s. Male runners completely swept the 200m podium as Jishnu Prasad logged 20.63s and Abhay Singh finished in 21.04s.
Track competitors looking toward international action showed strong form. Ancy Sojan maintained her winning streak in the women's long jump with a 6.76m leap. Mohammed Afsal clocked 1:46.40s to win his 800m race, while Anu Raghavan won her 400m hurdles final in 57.23s. Lili Das claimed victory in the women's 800m with a season best time of 2:03.41s. Krishik Manjunath won his 110m hurdles race in 13.65s. Field athletes Karthik Unnikrishnan won the men's triple jump with 16.43m and Aadarsh Ram cleared 2.18m in the high jump.
