Alisha, Sharanya to participate in Karate Youth League

Bhubaneswar: The Students of Bharat Karate Academy of Bhubaneswar, Alisha Subudhi (Junior Category) and Sharanya Sahu (Cadet Category), will represent India in the Individual Kata event at the Youth League Championship to be held in Manila, Philippines from 14-17 May 2026.
The prestigious championship is expected to witness participation over 700 athletes from 58 countries have registered to participate in the event. The hosts of the Philippines present the largest delegation at the event, with 201 athletes. Powerhouse nation of Australia also presents a large delegation with 66 athletes, followed by WKF-1, with 52 athletes.
The competition follows a knockout format. The event comprises 34 categories, and it is destined for competitors aged 12 to 19.
