Bhubaneswar, Dec 4: The competition has started before the elections as to who will take the leadership of the Korei Assembly constituency of Jajpur district. Former MLA, Akash Das Nayak, seems to be infiltrating into Korei politics again creating flutters in BJD workers.
Recently, Das Nayak participated in a rally in which the present BJD MLA Ashok Bal, and other party leaders were not present.
This incident has created confusion among the BJD workers. It is said that Akash has started political exercises again in the Korei assembly seat before the coming election.
Akash, who was elected as MLA from Korei in 2014 to 2019, was not given a ticket by BJD High Command for the second time in 2019. In his place, Ashok Kumar Bal was fielded as the party nominee in 2019 and won the election in Korei.
It is now believed that although the BJD organization has been strong in Korei since 2019, the development works have remained stagnant. So BJD workers and voters are not happy with the leadership of the local BJD. Therefore, Akash has prepared a strategy to re-enter into Korei politics.
