Koraput, March 20: In a tragic late-night road accident, two youths, including the driver, lost their lives after a car crashed into a roadside tree on the Nandapur–Padua main road in Koraput district.

According to reports, the vehicle was heading from Nandapur towards Padua when the driver allegedly lost control, causing the car to veer off the road and hit a mango tree. The impact was so severe that the vehicle was badly mangled, leaving the occupants trapped inside.

On being alerted, a team from the Nandapur Fire Services rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation. The team broke open the car and pulled out the injured persons before shifting them to the Nandapur Community Health Centre.

However, doctors declared both victims dead on arrival.

The deceased have been identified as Lab Khar of Goluru village and Ananta Pangi of Khudub village.
