2 hardcore Maoists nabbed from Rourkela Railway station

Rourkela, Oct 9: At time an enhanced coordination between Odisha and Jharkhand Police continues in tackling left-wing extremism in the region, the Rourkela Police on Thursday nabbed two hardcore Maoists from the Rourkela Railway Station.

After interrogation, the two red-militants were handed over to the Chhattisgarh Police for further verification.

 With intelligence inputs, the Rourkela Plant Site police arrested the duo, who was reportedly the cadres of the Tritiya Prastuti Committee (TPC), Jharkhand.  

According to police, the duo was most wanted for the Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh police for their involvements in several key acts of violence, extortion, and armed movement in Latehar district of Jharkhand.

During questioning, they allegedly confessed to their association with the TPC and revealed details of their operations and networking in Jharkhand.
