1st phase Jharkhand Election begins: Voting in 43 constituencies underway

Ranchi, Nov 13:Voting for the first phase of the Jharkhand Assembly elections has begun on Wednesday across 43 constituencies.
Polling is being conducted in as many as 15,344 polling stations across the constituencies form 7 AM which will be concluled at 4 PM. However, as many as 11 constituencies, including Koderma, Ranchi, and Jamshedpur, will continue voting until 5 PM.
Jharkhand will undergo a two-phase election on November 13 and November 20. Meanwhile, the counting of votes will be held on November 20.
The Election Commission of India had earlier announced the schedule for the General Election to the Legislative Assemblies of Maharashtra and Jharkhand 2024. ECI's schedule for the Maharashtra Assembly election- term will end on November 26 whereas the process of Jharkhand assembly poll will end on January 5, 2025.
