Sambalpur, Sept 3: Tension gripped Orampada village under Dhanupali police station limits on Wednesday morning after a youth was stabbed to death, allegedly due to past enmity.

The deceased has been identified as Md Rinku. According to reports, the incident occurred around 8 a.m. when a group of miscreants attacked him with sharp weapons. He was immediately rushed to Sambalpur District Headquarters Hospital (DHH), but doctors declared him brought dead.

Rinku’s father said he was at work when he received information about the attack. His younger son hurried to the spot and shifted Rinku to the hospital, but his injuries proved fatal.

Police have registered a case and begun an investigation into the matter. Additional forces have been deployed in the area to prevent any further tension.
