Cuttack, August 8: Terror was unleashed in Odisha’s Cuttack City on Tuesday after bike-borne miscreants shot a youth dead in the daylight.
The incident took place at Subhadrapur village under the Cuttack Rural District Police limit in the afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Chintamani Sahu.
Sources said, two unidentified miscreants followed one Chintamai Sahu of the Subhadrapur area on a bike and fired shots at him. Sahu sustained critical injuries on his head and collapsed on the spot.
Being informed, police rushed to the spot and initiated an investigation into the matter.
Clues regarding the accused are yet to be found. Blocking and checking have been beefed up to apprehend them, said police.
