Washim, Oct 6: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday tried his hands on a traditional dhol at the Samadhi of Sant Seva Lal Ji Maharaj during his Maharashtra visit.

Finding the country-made drum, attractive but uncovered, on his way towards the sheer Seva Lal’s memorial Samadhi, the PM played it rhythmically just as a professional percussion musician.

Sources said, PM Modi arrived at Nanded airport and reached Washim on road where he offered prayers at the Jagadamba Mata temple at Poharadevi during the Navaratri.

PM Modi also paid tribute to Sant Sevalal Maharaj and Sant Ramrao Maharaj at Samadhi in Poharadevi. After this, he inaugurated the Banjara Heritage Museum and also participated in the celebration of the rich heritage of the Banjara community.

Worth mentioning, PM Modi is keen to beat drums on occasions especially in cultural, spiritual and folk festivities. Earlier, PM Modi’s percussion on drums had created buzzing beats in Singapore, Assam and many more places where he played dakh, drums and dhols as attractively as a professional artist.
