OHRC Chairperson Justice Pujahari holds Camp Court in Sundargarh

The Odisha Human Rights Commission (OHRC) held a two-day camp court at Sadbhavana Bhawan on the premises of the Sundargarh Collectorate to facilitate access to justice and address human rights-related grievances closer to the people.

Bhubaneswar, September 30: The Odisha Human Rights Commission (OHRC) held a two-day camp court at Sadbhavana Bhawan on the premises of the Sundargarh Collectorate to facilitate access to justice and address human rights-related grievances closer to the people.

The camp court was presided over by Justice Shatrughna Pujahari, Chairperson of the Odisha Human Rights Commission.

A total of 43 cases relating to Sundargarh district were placed before the Commission, of which 24 were disposed of during the proceedings. Similarly, 21 cases concerning Jharsuguda district were taken up, with 10 cases being disposed of.

The camp court was organised with the objective of bringing the human rights redressal mechanism closer to the people and strengthening the protection and promotion of human rights at their doorstep.

Collectors and Superintendents of Police of Sundargarh and Jharsuguda districts, along with officials from the respective district administrations and police departments, as well as the concerned individuals, attended the proceedings.
