Sambalpur, June 22: A video allegedly showing a couple engaging in inappropriate behaviour within a temple premises has gone viral on social media, triggering public outrage and raising questions over security arrangements at the shrine.
According to reports, the incident took place a few days ago inside a project area located within the premises of the revered Maa Samaleswari Temple. The video purportedly shows the couple spending a considerable amount of time at the location and behaving in a manner considered inappropriate for a religious site.
The viral footage has sparked criticism from devotees and local residents, who have questioned how such an incident could occur despite the presence of security personnel and CCTV surveillance within the temple complex.
The incident has once again brought the issue of temple security into focus. Locals have demanded stricter monitoring and better enforcement of rules inside the shrine premises to prevent such occurrences in the future.
Notably, concerns over security at the temple had surfaced earlier as well following reports of alleged consumption of liquor and non-vegetarian food near the temple's Bhoga Ghar area. The latest incident has further intensified calls for tighter vigilance and enhanced security measures at the temple.
