Bhubaneswar, July 29: In a massive crackdown on alleged disproportionate assets, the Odisha Vigilance department has uncovered a staggering portfolio of high-value properties, flats, commercial spaces, and land parcels during ongoing searches linked to Raja Kishore Jena, Assistant Engineer (AE), Roads & Buildings Division-III, Bhubaneswar.

The raids, which are still underway, have so far revealed a multi-storeyed building, two high-end flats, and two commercial outlets situated in prominent locations such as Galleria Mall and Symphony Mall in Bhubaneswar.

Among the residential properties unearthed are:

• A triple-storeyed building measuring approximately 3,500 sq. ft. located at Plot No. 226, Sector-5, Niladri Vihar, Bhubaneswar.
• A luxury flat (No. E-083) of 1,800 sq. ft. on the 8th floor of Cosmopolis, Bhubaneswar.
• Another flat (No. H-164) of 650 sq. ft. on the 16th floor, Tower H, Cosmopolis, Bhubaneswar.

Commercial properties include:

• A showroom space (Shop No. 024) of approx. 400 sq. ft. on the ground floor of Utkal Kanika Galleria Mall, currently housing a Nykaa Luxe outlet.
• Another commercial unit (Shop No. 16) in Symphony Mall, Rudrapur, Pahala.
• 13 High-Value Land Parcels Identified

In addition to the buildings and commercial outlets, 13 land parcels across Odisha—primarily in Bhubaneswar—have been identified. These include:

Bhubaneswar:

• Plot No. 308, Khata No. 48, Area: 0.092 acres at Uttaramunda Muhan, Janla.
• Plot No. 485, Khata No. 152, Area: 0.12 acres at Kantapada.
• Plot No. 343/1987, Khata No. 157/66, Area: 0.3 acres at Bhagabatipur, Mendhasal.
• Plot No. 1001, Khata No. 17, Area: 1.040 acres at Bhagabanpur.
• Plot No. 414/3340, Khata No. 617/329, Area: 0.055 acres at Chandaka.
• Plot No. 778/1048, Khata No. 225, Area: 0.055 acres at Sundarpur, Chandaka.
• Plot No. 778/1046, Khata No. 225, Area: 0.110 acres at Sundarpur, Chandaka.
• Plot No. 597, Khata No. 17, Area: 1.040 acres at Bhagabanpur.
• Plot No. 197, Khata No. 6, Area: 0.13 acres at Marichia.

Nayagarh District:

• 10. Plot No. 2272, Khata No. 503, Area: 0.045 acres at Nayagarh town.
• 11. Plot No. 2112, Khata No. 235, Area: 0.34 acres at Jamusahi.
• 12. Plot No. 78, Khata No. 582, Area: 0.35 acres at Jamusahi.

Khordha District:

• 13. Plot No. 26, Khata No. 45/59, Area: 1.015 acres at Abaranga.

The Vigilance team has also come across multiple bank deposits and financial instruments. The valuation and authenticity of these assets are currently being verified by the Technical Wing.

Sources in the Vigilance Directorate confirmed that the searches are ongoing, and further revelations regarding movable and immovable assets are likely in the coming days. Valuation exercises and forensic accounting are being undertaken to assess the total worth of the unearthed properties and compare it with the legal income sources of Sri Jena and his family.

This operation is part of a broader crackdown on corruption and accumulation of disproportionate assets by public servants in Odisha.
