Bhubaneswar, August 17: In view of the prevailing flood situation in several parts of Odisha, Utkal University has postponed the fourth-semester examinations scheduled for Monday.

The examinations for Undergraduate, B.Sc., ITM, B.Sc. Computer Science and B.Ed. (UDTE) programmes have been deferred. The university authorities said that a fresh date for the examinations will be announced later.

The examinations were scheduled to be held at all degree colleges and self-financing colleges affiliated with Utkal University.

The decision has been taken keeping in mind the safety of students amid the flood situation in various parts of the state. The university has also directed colleges to immediately inform students and faculty members about the postponement.
