Laxmipur Kheri (UP), July 19: “Unlock our home now that has been mightily locked by my uncle. We will take refuge here’’, a Grade 8 boy in UP’s Lakhimpur Kheri dared so, facing the Collector & District Magistrate in a public grievance hearing.

A routine public grievance hearing in Uttar Pradesh's Lakhimpur Kheri turned into a dramatic confrontation as the 13-year-old boy, whose family was physically & mentally turtured by his paternal uncle uncle deposed before the DM & Collector to put forth his uncle’s tyranny.

The kid fearlessly challenged the District Magistrate Anjani Kumar Singh, demanding immediate action againt his uncle who forcefully possessed his parental home what he deserves.

The Class 8 student, identified as Amitabh Gupta, arrived all at once on the ‘Tehsil Day’ alone at the district's Sampoorna Samadhan Diwas with a hand- written complaint by virtue of which he sought district & police administrations’ assistance in removing the lock of a room, unlawfully closed by the boy’s uncle.

During his interaction with the DM & SSP the boy elaborated his family’s ordeal saying that his mother is a househelp who earns bread for the family. However, his uncle debarred them entering his parental home, keeping it in lock & key.

With the greivance explained, the boy demanded the DM to initiate swift onspot action to get the room unlocked.

As the administrators assured of action saying, “ We will look into the matter and unlock the room”, the boy boldly interrupted them and insisted to unlock the room then only.

Amitabh pressed, "Don't say you will do it tomorrow or sometime in the future, do it now only."

Following the heart-touching submission of the tender boy, the DM directed the local police inspector to personally visit the spot and unlock the room, looking into the family dispute as soon as possible.

If the redressal of the boy’s concern is yet to be known, the greivance session featuring the courageous feat of the tiny-tot, has left the internet on fire.
