Jaipur, July 8: Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw's father Dau Lal Vaishnaw passed away on Tuesday at AIIMS Jodhpur.
He had been experiencing health issues for a while and was recently admitted to AIIMS Jodhpur following deterioration in his condition.
Hospital sources confirmed that he passed away at 11:52 a.m.
His last rites will be conducted later today at the Vaishnaw Samaj crematorium in Kaga, Jodhpur. The ceremony will be attended by family members, relatives, dignitaries, and several political and administrative leaders.
Vaishnaw arrived in Jodhpur this morning, following the inauguration and foundation-laying of several infrastructure development projects at Karpoorigram railway station in the Samastipur division on Monday.
Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani has expressed profound grief over the passing of Dau Lal Vaishnaw. Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot offered prayers for the departed soul and extended his condolences to the bereaved family.
Notably, a native of Jeevand Kala village in Pali district, Dau Lal Vaishnaw later made his home in Jodhpur, residing in Mahavir Colony near Ratanada Bhaskar Square.
A well-respected member of the community, he had served as the sarpanch of his native village and remained actively engaged in social service. He also had a long and distinguished career in Jodhpur as a lawyer and tax consultant.
