Bhubaneswar, August 30: An unidentified youth’s body was recovered on Saturday from a toilet of Puri-New Delhi Purushottam Express at Bhubaneswar Station.
The Government Railway Police (GRP) recovered the body in the morning and launched an investigation on the report of the cleaning crew members.
Sources said the body was found during the routine maintenance when cleaning staff were cleaning the coach toilet at the wash bay. They immediately alerted senior officials, prompting the GRP and Railway Protection Force (RPF) to rush to the spot.
Following this, a forensic team was also called to investigate into the matter.
The GRP and RPF are trying to identify the body which is crucial to probe the case.
The body was sent for post-mortem after inquest. Further investigation is underway to unveil the mystery shrouded over the incident, said police.
