Bhubaneswar, June 10: The Odisha government on Wednesday extended the deadline for the submission of Undergraduate (UG) admission applications for the 2026–27 academic session.
The government has allowed six additional days to complete the process through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) portal.
With the extension, aspirants can now submit Common Application Forms (CAF) until June 16.
The first merit list for the UG admissions will be published on June 22, whereas commencement of classes will begin by July 10.
The admission process will be conducted in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, under which students will have the flexibility to choose their preferred major and minor subjects while filling out the application form.
The department has also opened admissions for Apprenticeship-Embedded Degree Programmes through the SAMS portal, enabling students to opt for courses that combine academic learning with industry exposure.
