Phulbani, Sept 7: At least two people were killed in a road mishap that occurred near the BSF Camp in Sadingia under Phiringia police limits in Odisha’s Phulbani district last evening.

The deceased have been identified as Shashikant Pradhan of Pusangia village and Badasen Kanhara.

According to sources, Shashikant was traveling with two of his brothers-in-law on a motorcycle to Sadingia market on Saturday evening. They were returning home late at night when the motorcycle lost balance near the BSF camp and hit Badasen who was walking on the road. He died on the spot

As a result of the collision, Shashikant, who was sitting at the back, was thrown off onto the road and suffered fatal injuries leading to his death on the spot.

Upon getting the information, police arrived at the spot and seized the bodies. Subsequently, they were sent for post-mortem.

Further investigation into the matter is underway, said the police.
