Jajpur, April 13: In a tragic road accident near Nuapada under Korei police limits in Jajpur district, a private school bus collided head-on with a truck, leaving one person dead and over 15 students injured.

The deceased has been identified as the truck driver, who died on the spot. The truck helper sustained critical injuries in the crash.

According to reports, the school bus was carrying students to a hostel in Santara under Jajpur Road when the accident occurred. The bus reportedly rammed into an oncoming truck near Nuapada.

Following the incident, locals and rescue teams rushed to the spot and evacuated the injured. All the injured students were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Further investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
