Bhubanesar, May 15: In a wave of patriotic fervor and solidarity with the Indian Armed Forces, multiple districts across Odisha witnessed grand Tricolor Rallies on Thursday. These rallies were organized to uplift the morale of Indian soldiers amid rising tensions along the India-Pakistan border following the recent Pahalgam terror attack. Citizens, public officials, students, and volunteers united in large numbers to express their unwavering support for the armed forces.
Patrapur Block leads with enthusiastic participation
In Patrapur block, a massive tricolor rally was organized by the Patrapur Panchayat Samiti. Government officials, block employees, and local volunteers participated by adorning their vehicles with national flags. The rally began at the Patrapur Block Office and marched through Tal Bus Stand, Karji Sahi, Keuta Sahi, and Upper Bazar Sahi before returning to its starting point.
Boudh District rallies behind the Army
In Boudh, a similar rally was flagged off by local MLA and Chief Government Whip, Saroj Kumar Pradhan. The event saw participation from District Collector Subrata Kumar Panda, Additional Collector Aniruddha Pradhan, SP Rahul Goel, and other key officials. Teachers, students, NCC cadets, Scouts, Red Cross members, police, medical personnel, NDRF and ODRAF teams, and volunteers also took part in the show of solidarity.
Malkangiri echoes with patriotic slogans
A joint bike and foot rally was held in Malkangiri to honor the bravery of Indian soldiers. It was flagged off by Additional District Collectors Somanath Pradhan and Bedabar Pradhan (Revenue). With slogans of "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" and "Vande Mataram" ringing through the streets, the rally progressed from Biju Patnaik Indoor Stadium to DNK Sports Ground, drawing participation from BSF jawans, police forces, and local residents.
Kandhamal hosts awareness Rrally led by MP
Kandhamal’s rally, organized by the district administration, was flagged off by local MP Sukanta Kumar Panigrahi. Starting from Kandhamal Stadium, the rally proceeded through Phulbani town and concluded at Coronation Ground. Prominent participants included Additional Collectors Ramesh Chandra Jena and Kushal Chandra Nayak, Deputy Collector Bhikari Sahu, Cultural Officer Akshaya Kumar Sethi, and numerous citizens and public representatives.
‘Parakram Shobhayatra’ in Dhenkanal honors martyrs
In Dhenkanal, a 'Parakram Shobhayatra' (Bravery Procession) was conducted to pay homage to the sacrifices of Indian soldiers. The rally started from Siddha Balaram Temple and passed through major city junctions, concluding at Dhenkanal Autonomous College. District Collector Somesh Kumar Upadhyay and Municipality Chairperson Jayanti Patra flagged off the event. Speaking at the occasion, the Collector emphasized the importance of honoring soldiers who safeguard the nation at great personal risk.
Polasara commemorates Operation Sindhura
The NAC administration of Polasara organized a vibrant bike rally to celebrate the success of Operation Sindhura and honor the valor of Indian troops. The rally, flagged off from the NAC office, passed through Ranipada and Lunighati petrol pump before returning. Accompanied by patriotic songs, the event witnessed active participation from Tahsildar Diptimayee Patra, Executive Officer Kailash Chandra Jena, NAC Chairperson Sangeeta Behera, and Vice Chairperson Santosh Behera, along with the full NAC staff.
