Bhubaneswar, Aug 1: The Bhubaneswar Traffic Police have issued a traffic advisory ahead of the commencement of soil testing for the proposed Jaydev Vihar–Nandankanan flyover project, warning commuters of possible congestion along the busy corridor for nearly one and a half months.

The soil investigation work will begin on August 6 and continue until September 19. Testing will be carried out at key locations, including Kalinga Stadium Gates 7 and 8, Pal Heights Square, Kalinga Hospital Square, Damana Square, and KIIT Square.

Authorities said parts of the roadway will be temporarily occupied during the testing process, which could lead to traffic slowdowns and congestion, particularly between Behera Sahi Square and KIIT Square.

In view of the expected disruptions, commuters have been advised to avoid the affected stretch whenever possible and use alternate routes to minimise delays.

The traffic police have urged the public to cooperate with traffic personnel and plan their journeys in advance until the soil testing work is completed.
