Bhubaneswar, Jan 2: Three individuals, including a minor, are suspected to be involved in the brutal murder of Bablu (alias Jitendra Das) in Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar. The crime is believed to have stemmed from a love triangle.

According to the police, on December 27th, the suspects meticulously planned the murder while staying near the victim’s house. They allegedly lured Bablu to his front door under the pretense of renting a car, only to murder him in cold blood.

A minor has been taken into custody in connection with the murder, and an auto-rickshaw driver who assisted the two murderers in their escape has also been arrested by Nayapalli police.

The main accused, identified as Nandu, is still at large. The police are conducting investigations and questioning local residents in an effort to locate him.

Following Bablu’s death, a heated controversy erupted, with his family and supporters protesting by burning tyres and blocking the road. They placed his body in the middle of the road, demanding swift justice and the arrest of the killers.

In response, officers from Nayapalli police station arrived at the scene and assured the protesters that the accused would be arrested soon. The protest was called off after these assurances were made.
