UPSC declares Civil Services Examination 2025 final result; Anuj Agnihotri tops the list

New Delhi, Mar 6: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025 on its official website on March 6, 2026. Candidates can access the merit list by visiting upsc.gov.in and clicking on the “Civil Services Examination 2025 Final Result” link on the homepage.

The merit list highlights the top performers, with Anuj Agnihotri securing the All India Rank (AIR) 1. Other candidates in the top ten include Rajeshwari Suve, Akansh Dhull, Raghav Jhunjhunwala, and Ishan Bhatnagar, among others. The rankings are based on combined scores from the written mains examination and the personality test interview conducted by UPSC.

This year, a total of 958 candidates have been recommended for appointment to India’s premier services, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and various Central Services.

The Civil Services Examination, conducted annually by UPSC, is considered one of India’s toughest competitive exams. While lakhs of candidates appear for the preliminary stage, only a few advance through the mains and interview rounds, with the final merit list selecting fewer than a thousand candidates for some of the country’s most prestigious administrative and diplomatic positions.
