Three ministers sworn in by new caretaker PM Karki in Nepal

Kathmandu, September 15: In a significant development, three new ministers, including Kulman Ghising, the former CEO of Nepal Electricity Authority, were sworn in on Monday under the leadership of caretaker Prime Minister Sushila Karki.

The oath of office was administered by President Ramchandra Paudel during a ceremony held at the President’s Office, Sheetal Niwas, which was recently damaged in the violent protests. Due to the damage, the event was conducted under a tent.

With these appointments, the interim Cabinet now consists of four members, including Prime Minister Karki, who will also manage the remaining ministerial portfolios. The government has been tasked with holding parliamentary elections within the next six months.
