Three killed as car hits bike on Puri Bypass Road in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Feb 11: In a tragic mishap, three youths were killed after a car hit their bike near Tankapani Saimandir on Puri Bypass Road under Badagada police limits in Bhubaneswar last night.
The identities of the deceased persons are yet to be identified.
As per reports, the mishap took place when the victims were travelling in the wrong direction and a speeding car hit them. As a result, they sustained serious injuries. Some local people rescued them and rushed to Capital Hospital, where the attending doctors declared them dead.
Upon getting the information, police arrived at the spot and took cognizance of the scene. The cops also seized the bodies and sent them for post-mortem.
Police have detained the car owner and seized the damaged bike and car.
Investigation is underway to ascertain the exact cause of mishap. Footage of CCTV cameras installed in nearby shops is being examined, said the police.
