Bhubaneswar, Sept 5: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extended his warm greetings to people on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, observed to mark the birth anniversary of renowned philosopher, educationist and India’s first Vice-President, Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
In his message, Majhi said education is not merely a means of imparting knowledge but a noble process of shaping lives. He highlighted the crucial role of teachers in providing quality education while nurturing students’ inherent talent, creativity and moral values.

Majhi said teachers are accorded the highest respect in society as ‘Gurus’ for their contribution to shaping the future of students. Recalling Dr Radhakrishnan’s life and legacy, he said his journey exemplified the nobility of teaching and the transformative power of education.
