Baripada, February 13: The Karanjia Police on Thursday arrested three including a minor for allegedly kidnapping a teacher for Rs 15L ransom.

The victim, identified as Rabindranath Singh was rescued after almost 2 days, from the accused, said police.

According to the complaint lodged by the victim’s spouse, 

Singh was abducted by six miscreants near NH-220 at Kuanripoli on February 10. He was forcibly pushed into a car and kidnapped. Later, he was demanded a ransom of Rs 15 lakh for his release.

The police soon initiated a search operation to rescue the teacher. Meanwhile, police nabbed 4 of the kidnappers from Talcher during a raid.

Some aides are yet to be apprehended. Manhunts are underway to reach at them, said the Investigation Officer.
