New Delhi: The Supreme Court of India expressed its profound grief on Tuesday following the devastating Red Fort blast that claimed at least 13 lives and left numerous others injured in the national capital.

In a formal message of Supreme Court condolence, Chief Justice of India (CJI) B R Gavai conveyed the deep sorrow of the entire judiciary. "We all are also deeply saddened by the tragic loss of lives caused by the car blast that occurred in Delhi on the evening of 10th November 2025," the CJI stated.

Speaking on behalf of the Supreme Court and the broader legal community, CJI B R Gavai offered "deepest condolences" to the families shattered by the tragedy. He acknowledged the profound nature of their loss, stating, "No words can truly ease the pain of such loss."

The message emphasized unity during this difficult time. "Our thoughts and prayers are with all those who are grieving, as well as with those who are injured or otherwise affected," it continued. The CJI expressed hope that "the collective compassion and solidarity of the nation will offer some comfort in this hour of sorrow."

Beyond the expression of sympathy, the Supreme Court also reaffirmed its core principles in the wake of the attack. The statement reiterated a "steadfast commitment to uphold the rule of law, ensure justice, and safeguard the dignity of every citizen." The message concluded with prayers for the departed souls and for "courage and solace" for the families facing this "irreparable loss."

This Delhi explosion has triggered high-level government responses, highlighting concerns over national security. Union Home Minister Amit Shah convened a high-level security review meeting on Tuesday to address the situation.

Meanwhile, investigators are actively pursuing leads. Reports indicate they are focusing on a 34-year-old resident from Pulwama. This individual is linked to the purchase of the Hyundai i20 believed to have been used in the explosion.
