Bhubnaneswar: Odisha cueist Subrat Das’s journey ended in IBSF World billiards championship 2026 at Carlow Ireland, Subrat won one match out of three league matches and missed his knockout stage and his campaign ended in the Ireland tour of World championship.
Subrat said “the tour of Ireland was the biggest experience of his career as he played some fantastic billiards with the legends like Mike Russell and David Causier. This was a learning experience as well as a process started for his own future targets. I have to practice harder and coaching is a must to enhance billiards techniques, which will definitely help me to play good billiards and compete in the international circuit. Hope we get proper Infrastructure soon and quality game practice is required. So that New upcoming juniors will be playing good billiards and snooker with proper Coaching facilities”.
Subrat thanked the Odisha Sports Department for their valuable and regular support. Very Happy to win my first ever tournament outside India. The Irish Open Challenge Cup will definitely boost me in my career. I will work harder and also will take advanced coaching so that I win a World title in future.
