Bhubaneswar, April 14: In a relief for prospective beneficiaries, the registration deadline for the Subhadra scheme is likely to be extended by another five days. Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Tuesday indicated that the government is considering the extension in view of low application numbers and possible technical issues.
As per earlier guidelines, women aged between 21 and 60 years as of April 1, 2026, are eligible to apply under the scheme. However, only those who have not applied previously can submit fresh applications. Authorities have clarified that duplicate applications will not be accepted.
Under the scheme, eligible beneficiaries will receive financial assistance of ₹10,000 annually in two installments from the 2026–27 financial year for the duration of the scheme.
Applications can be submitted online through the Subhadra portal via Common Service Centres (CSC) and Ama Seva Kendras (ASK). Additionally, application forms are being provided free of cost at Anganwadi Centres (AWC) and CDPO offices.
The Deputy Chief Minister stated that new applicants can apply between April 1 and April 30. While the current number of applicants remains low, sufficient time is still available. She also noted that those who have recently turned 21 are eligible to apply. In case of technical difficulties, the deadline may be extended by five more days.
