STF nabs brown sugar peddler with Rs35 Lakh worth of narcotics in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, May 22:The Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Police arrested a brown sugar peddler from Pandara Road in Bhubaneswar, seizing 330 grams of the contraband, valued at approximately Rs35 lakh.
The accused has been identified as Prakash Sethi, a resident of Keonjhar district. According to STF officials, Sethi had been sourcing brown sugar from Balasore and distributing it across various locations in the state capital.
Based on credible intelligence input, the STF team conducted a raid and apprehended Sethi. The narcotic substance recovered from his possession has been sent for chemical examination.
STF DIG Pinak Mishra confirmed the arrest and seizure, stating that further investigation is underway to identify other links in the supply chain.
