Puri, May 19: The Shri Jagannath Temple administration announced that the counting of sacred ornaments in the temple’s ‘Bhitara Ratna Bhandar’ will resume from today, following State Government guidelines.
The inventory is scheduled on the 19th, 21st, 23rd, 26th, 28th, 29th, and 30th of this month. Temple authorities emphasised that the counting will be conducted with strict adherence to protocols to ensure transparency and security.
Each day, the process will begin after the midday rituals (dhupa). While the inner sanctum will remain closed for darshan during counting, devotees can continue to have darshan from the outer area (Bahara Katha), ensuring uninterrupted religious observances.
Officials have assured that all necessary measures will be taken to minimise inconvenience to visitors while preserving the sanctity of the rituals. The resumption of this systematic inventory reflects the temple administration’s commitment to devotion, transparency, and preservation of sacred treasures, reinforcing public confidence in the management of the temple’s priceless ornaments.
