Bhubaneswar, Oct 8: Odisha Vigilance conducted simultaneous searches at eight locations linked to Ramesh Chandra Jena, the Senior Private Secretary of the Panchayat Raj and Drinking Water Department acting on allegations of amassing huge disproportionate assets.

Acting on a tip-off, raids are being conducted by eight DSPs, three inspectors, 10 ASIs, and other staffs on warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance in Bhubaneswar.

The searches are being conducted at the following places:

1. A double-storey building over plot No. K4, Kalinganagar, Bhubaneswar.
2. A triple-storey building over plot No. 1979/3971, Mouza- Gothapatna in Bhubaneswar.
3. House of Jena at his native village Khuntia Banpur, Gadisagoda, Dist- Puri.
4. The house of his relative located at Tarimi, Kalupadaghat under Tangi police limits
5. His Residential Govt Quarter No. IV-A, Unit-2 at Market building, Bhubaneswar.
6. Office chamber of Sri Jena.
7. The house of his relative located at Nirakarpur, Dist-Khordha.
8. The house of his another relative located at Nirakarpur, Dist-Khordha.

Further investigation into the incident is underway.
