Nabarangpur, Sept 26: The craze for taking selfies, especially at scenic and risky locations, can sometimes have tragic consequences. In a shocking incident in Nabarangpur, a woman reportedly fell into the Indravati River while attempting to take a selfie from a bridge and has since gone missing.

The incident was reported from the Indravati River Bridge in Nabarangpur. The missing woman has been identified as Sirisa Naik, a resident of Medari Sahi in Nabarangpur town. According to reports, Sirisa had visited the Indravati River area with her family on Friday to witness the rising floodwaters. While she was reportedly taking a selfie from the bridge, she lost her balance and fell into the river. Following the incident, a rescue team reached the spot and launched an operation to trace her. However, no information about her whereabouts has been found so far. The rescue operation was called off for the night due to darkness and the deep waters in the river. The search resumed early Saturday morning and is currently underway.

Authorities are continuing efforts to locate the missing woman.
