‘Sambandha’ Mega Cooperative Membership campaign launched across Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Sept 25: A state-wide mega membership drive, ‘Sambandha’, aimed at strengthening and expanding the cooperative movement in Odisha, was launched on Friday at a special event held at the Agricultural Education Sadan of Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) in Bhubaneswar.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi formally inaugurated the campaign at the event.

The initiative seeks to bring at least one member from every rural household into the cooperative fold, with the objective of further strengthening the cooperative system across the state.

Special emphasis will be placed on increasing participation among Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), women and youth. The campaign is expected to broaden grassroots participation and strengthen the role of cooperatives in rural communities.
