Mumbai, May 13: Stand-up comedian Samay Raina has officially announced his international comedy tour, marking a major step in his comeback following the controversy surrounding his show India's Got Latent.

After facing heavy criticism over remarks made during the show, Raina is aiming for a fresh start with a series of international performances spanning Europe, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. Taking to Instagram, he shared a detailed schedule of the tour, which kicks off on June 5 and concludes on July 20 in Sydney, Australia.

Raina also posted a promotional video featuring highlights from a recent performance in Toronto, Canada, to generate buzz around the tour.

This tour announcement follows the backlash Raina received due to a controversial episode of India's Got Latent. During the episode, guest Ranveer Allahbadia made a remark about a contestant’s parents that sparked widespread outrage online. The comment, seen as inappropriate and lacking comedic value, led to a formal apology from Allahbadia.

Adding to the fallout, the Guwahati Crime Branch filed a case against Raina, accusing him of promoting obscenity and vulgarity through his YouTube show.

Despite the controversy, Raina appears determined to move forward and reconnect with global audiences through his comedy.
