Sambalpur, Oct 10: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Dr Mohan Bhagwat is scheduled to arrive in Odisha on Saturday for a two-day visit, during which he will attend an RSS programme in Sambalpur and review organisational activities in the State.
According to Sumant Kumar Panda, the publicity head of the RSS's Odisha East province, Bhagwat is expected to reach Sambalpur at around 4 pm on October 10.
During his visit, Bhagwat will attend an RSS programme at the auditorium of Gangadhar Meher University (GMU) in Sambalpur as the chief guest on Saturday evening.
The programme is scheduled to take place between 6 pm and 8 pm, bringing together RSS volunteers for the gathering.
On Sunday, Bhagwat will chair an organisational meeting involving office-bearers and functionaries from the eastern and western provinces of Odisha.
The meeting will review organisational activities undertaken during the RSS's centenary year and assess the progress of various initiatives.
The visit is expected to focus on organisational matters and activities being carried out by the Sangh across the two regions of Odisha.
Apart from the organisational programmes, Bhagwat is also scheduled to visit Dhanupali Shishu Vidya Mandir and a few other schools in Sambalpur during his stay.
Union Education Minister and Sambalpur MP Dharmendra Pradhan is also scheduled to attend the programme.
Bhagwat is expected to conclude his two-day Odisha visit on Sunday evening, according to the RSS functionary.
