Cricketer Yash Dayal Faces Sexual Exploitation Charges
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and India fast bowler Yash Dayal is facing serious legal trouble after an FIR was registered against him for alleged sexual exploitation. A woman from Ghaziabad has accused the cricketer of engaging in a long-term relationship with her under the false promise of marriage.
The FIR was filed at the Indirapuram police station after a preliminary inquiry into a complaint made through the Chief Minister’s grievance portal. Dayal has been booked under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which addresses sexual acts committed on the basis of deceitful promises and carries a potential punishment of up to ten years in prison.
Details of the Allegations
According to the complaint, the woman was in a five-year relationship with Dayal, during which she claims he mentally, physically, and financially exploited her. She alleged that Dayal introduced her to his family and acted as if they were a married couple, which solidified her trust. However, when she pressed him about his intentions to marry, he allegedly became violent and continued to harass her.
The complainant further stated that Dayal had taken money from her and has a history of similar behavior with other women. She claims to possess substantial evidence, including chat records, video call recordings, and photographs, to support her allegations.
As of now, neither Dayal nor his family has issued a public statement on the matter. The left-arm pacer recently played a crucial role in RCB’s victorious IPL 2025 campaign and had previously earned his first call-up to the Indian national team.
