Bhubaneswar, August 18: In a significant move to promote road safety, AKP.HYMX launched its flagship initiative, ‘Raah Surakshit – Apne Liye, Apno Ke Liye,’ at Ravi Talkies Square on Independence Day. The campaign, aimed at encouraging responsible driving and raising public awareness, saw enthusiastic participation from the community and received appreciation from local civic authorities.
The initiative, spearheaded by AKP.HYMX, garnered strong support from the Commissionerate Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack, who facilitated permissions and extended encouragement for this citizen-centric drive. To ensure effective execution, The Power of Humanity NGO partnered with the campaign, helping with ground-level implementation and volunteer engagement.
During the launch, AKP.HYMX team members actively engaged with two-wheeler riders, distributing helmets to those without and recognizing responsible riders with certificates. Volunteers also held placards and interacted with the public, emphasizing the importance of safe driving practices.
Adding a creative touch to the awareness campaign, performers dressed as Yamraj and Chitragupt engaged commuters interactively, highlighting the consequences of road negligence. This unique approach resonated deeply with the public, drawing attention to the need for safer road behavior.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Amlan Parida, CEO of AKP.HYMX, said, “Building roads is our business, but building safer roads is our responsibility. Through ‘Raah Surakshit,’ we want to ensure that safety becomes a daily habit, not just a rule to follow when convenient.”
The campaign also encouraged community interaction, with citizens sharing their experiences and concerns about road safety. Renowned personalities and senior representatives from AKP.HYMX were present, engaging with the public, distributing helmets, and delivering powerful messages on the importance of following road safety rules.
The event concluded with media participation, where local reporters interacted with AKP.HYMX leadership and citizens to capture their views on the campaign.
‘Raah Surakshit – Apne Liye, Apno Ke Liye’ will continue as a city-wide initiative for the next six months, with multiple activities planned across Bhubaneswar. The initiative’s goal is to foster long-term behavioral change and reduce traffic violations throughout the city.
