New Delhi, July 23: The Puri burn victim, who is under intensive care of AIIMS New Delhi in the Burn & Plastic Surgery Unit, has undergone an emergency surgery on Wednesday.
Media Cell, AIIMS Delhi informed it in the evening.
“The minor burn patient remains in critical condition. The team is doing everything possible to support her recovery,” said Dr. Rima Dada, Public Information Coordinator, Media Cell, AIIMS Delhi.
The official statement issued by the AIIMS authorites however read, the 16-year girl who was allegedly set on fire by unidentified assailants on July 19, remains in a critical condition after undergoing the surgery.
The emergency surgery was performed to manage & reconstruct the deep burns.She is currently on oxygen support. A dedicated team of doctors is monitoring her condition round the clock, the statement added.
