Punjab, Sept 28: Ace Punjabi lyricist Rajvir Jawanda is critical following a road mishap.

He has been put under advanced life support system at Fortis Hospital in Mohali after he suffered a cardiac arrest following the fatal accident.

According to reports, Jawanda was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on Saturday while travelling to Shimla in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan district. He was later rushed to the Fortis Hospital in Mohali at 1:45 pm in an “extremely critical” condition.

According to the hospital bulletin, Jawanda had sustained severe head and spine injuries and also suffered a cardiac arrest before admission tothe Fortis Hospital.

He is now on advanced life support, and is currently on ventilator support under close monitoring.

Ludhiana-born Rajvir Jawanda, known for his hit song 'Kali Jawande Di' and several Punjabi films, remains under critical care, with fans and the Punjabi entertainment community praying for his recovery.
