New Delhi, March 30: Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Monday hit back at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's comments about political alliances in Kerala, asserting that the people of the state are fully aware of the situation. "The entire state of Kerala knows who the alliance is with. The truth is clear to everyone," she said.
Priyanka also called for a parliamentary debate on the ongoing West Asia conflict, urging the government to address the issue. "We are demanding a debate because the entire country is affected, with rising gas prices and growing challenges," she stated. "It’s inappropriate to politicize such critical issues, but we need solutions."
Earlier, PM Modi, during his roadshow in Kerala, criticized the Left Democratic Front (LDF) and United Democratic Front (UDF) for allegedly "looting" the state. He claimed that both alliances take turns looting Kerala for decades. Modi also highlighted the rivalry between Congress and the CPI(M), accusing them of being the "B-team" of the BJP.
As Kerala heads towards elections on April 9, the political atmosphere remains tense.
